Become Credited with RG146

March 1st, 2009

I recently became credited with RG146. RG146 or policy statement 146 refers to a course that must be undertaken by all future financial planners, it allows financial planners to legally provide financial advice to those seeking it. The course is the Diploma of Financial Planning that I have successfully passed the other week. I can now legally provide financial advice to those who require financial advice on their financial status. After undertaking the course, I have come to realise, as a financial planner, my range of planning usually includes the following:
1. Risk Management and Insurance Planning
2. Investment and Planning Issues
3. Retirement Planning
4. Tax Planning
5. Estate Planning
6. Cash Flow and Liability Management
7. Relationship Management
8. Education Planning for kids and the family members
A great deal of knowledge about the financial services is obviously required to be able to deliver quality planning for a client. Most people can become a financial planner, all you need is to have RG146 in the form of a Diploma on Financial Services per requirement of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission. Most registered training organisations that offer the RG146 course usually have courses running over 8 days, an excellent way to become a financial planner within a short amount of time.
