Look, I’m not a mass-produced laid back single man, comfortably satisfied by watching junk tv without a date instead of living it up with friends. It’s unlikely you guys probably never read me post on great dating and companionship. There’s a reason for that.

Datelessness is a fixable quality and intentionally never written into my family history. Let me go on, Here’s the situation, I was forced to end a worthwhile fling that meant something to me but essentially carried on to nowhere. Therefore you might go on record saying its been a while since I dated. I don’t have the dating with great expectations I once did.

Single life has had its perks so far. One thing is for sure, I won’t be reduced to lounge about, peacefully binging on Battlestar Galactica on my big screen. The primary factor behind this bout of fresh break-up dating loneliness? This isn’t college, and everyone else is boring.

My former football friend, Andrew, who will never have dating lameness, sympathized because he is almost in a similar place. He linked me to the Great Expectations Dating service. Not usually my thing, but I enjoy introductions with quality chicas with similar interests. Go figure, I got real about my dating life and signed up.

Here’s the deal, there ain’t room to be disappointed by not having plans if you haven’t called anyone. Like our college soccer coach Chris Neelon snuck into conversation as his idea of encouragement, “If you don’t run you can’t score, sparky.”

I don’t know why he called me that. However, Coach was right in a good old fashioned way. He meant well to everyone. This care-free series of singles events in Dallas here might have done a number on his noggin’.

Last night at a Great Expectations happy hour I mingled with a ton of quality and appealing singles that hold my expectations. I truthfully had a carefree night with a few terrific remarkable singles. The evening ended with an exchange of digits, in addition to the fact that I came across some political relationships for my business. Right on!

Take action. You won’t be happy if you don’t. Don’t sell yourself short, you might as well have great expectations for life’s sake.

Live It Up!
